CHRISTMAS CUSTOMS SURVEY [Guisers at Eastwood, Notts.]

Reply from the Wellington Inn, Eastwood, Notts., to a
questionnaire sent to pubs in the Nottinghamshire and
Derbyshire border district in December 1972. The pub was
visited by carol singers - both children and the church/chapel
choir. Although the reply says no play was performed, the
comment is added "Children Guisers usually Blacked Faces."
