The informant witnessed a Christmas play performed at the Ram Inn,
Newthorpe, Notts., on Thursday 20th Dec.1973. It was performed by four or five
youths, about 12 years old, who had blackened faces. The play lasted four or
five minutes, ending by collecting money in a frying pan.
