The 2nd Bath International Mummers Festival took place on the Friday 16th & Saturday 17th November 2012. An academic symposium was held on the Friday, with performances and workshops taking place around the city centre on the Saturday.

Peter Harrop introduced Gráinne & Eimear Tynan who showed and explained their animation of morphing drawings of mummers, stills from which adorn this page.

Symposium: Chris Timson presenting Anne Gregson's talk
Laryngitis meant that Chris Timson had to step in to present Anne Gregson's talk on her opera "Make Room for Mummers". A video of a performance of the opera by the Fiery Dragon Folk Opera Company was shown during the symposium.
Symposium: Maureen James Still from the Mummers animation from Gráinne & Eimear Tynan
Maureen James posed interesting questions about why a script compiled by Peterborough Folk Club in 1968 is identical to a play later "collected" from Whittlesea.

Ron Shuttleworth caused a minor stir when he donned antenna lights to read his paper on the early days of the Coventry Mummers.
Symposium: Gwilym Davies Still from the Mummers animation from Gráinne & Eimear Tynan
Gwilym Davies compared Mumming and Wassailing customs in Gloucestershire, revealing numerous similarities and overlap between them.
